Terms of Use

The short version. StudyVise is a free study tool that runs in your browser. It does not hold an account for you, and it does not store your work on our servers — because we do not run any. It uses AI, which is sometimes wrong. Check anything that matters against your textbook or your teacher. If you are under 18, set it up with a parent or guardian.

1. Who we are, and what this is

StudyVise ("the Service") is operated by TokenKart MultiVerse ("we", "us"). It is a study assistant delivered as a web application and installable progressive web app. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. Who may use StudyVise

If you are 18 or over, you may use the Service on your own account.
If you are under 18, you may use it only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
If you are under 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent where you live, which is 16 in parts of the EU), a parent or guardian must set the Service up with you and supervise its use.

We do not verify age. The Service asks for an age at setup so it can apply safety limits, and it relies on that answer being truthful. A parent or guardian who permits use by a minor is responsible for that use.

3. What StudyVise is not

It is not a teacher, school, tutor of record, or examination board, and it awards no qualification.
It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind — medical, legal, financial or psychological.
It is not a counselling or crisis service. If you are in distress, contact a trusted adult or a local helpline. In India, Tele-MANAS is free on 14416.
It gives no guarantee of any academic outcome, grade, rank, admission or examination result.

4. AI output — accuracy and your responsibility

Answers are generated by third-party AI models. Such models can be confidently wrong, can invent facts, citations and dates, and can be out of step with your syllabus or examination board.

You must independently verify anything you rely on. We accept no liability for loss arising from reliance on AI output, including but not limited to marks lost, examinations failed, work rejected, or decisions taken.

5. Academic honesty

StudyVise is built to teach method before answer, and homework mode deliberately withholds finished solutions. Nevertheless, you are responsible for complying with your school's or institution's rules on acceptable assistance. Submitting AI-generated work as your own may constitute academic misconduct. We do not condone it and accept no responsibility for the consequences if you do it.

6. Bring your own AI key (BYOK)

StudyVise does not sell AI capacity. You supply your own API key from a third-party provider (such as Groq, Google, OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter or others listed in the app).

Your key is stored only in your browser. It is never transmitted to us and we never see it.
Your prompts, questions, pasted notes and any images you attach are sent directly from your device to the provider you chose. We are not a party to that transmission and it does not pass through our systems.
That provider's own terms and privacy policy govern what happens to that data. We do not control it, cannot delete it on your behalf, and are not responsible for it. You should read the policy of any provider you connect.
You are responsible for any charges your provider bills you, for staying within their rate limits, and for keeping your key secure. Do not use a key you are not entitled to use.

In plain EnglishYour key, your provider, your account with them. What they do with your questions is between you and them — we are not in the middle and cannot fix it for you.

7. Safety filters — strict, but not perfect

The Service applies filters intended to keep it to academic subject matter, to decline off-topic, adult, harmful or unsafe requests, and to refuse images that are not schoolwork. These filters operate both locally and through instructions given to the AI model.

No filter is complete. Determined circumvention is possible, models do not always obey instructions, and material may occasionally appear that we would rather it did not. We do not warrant that the Service will never produce unsuitable output. Parents and guardians of minors should supervise use accordingly.

In plain EnglishWe try hard to keep it to schoolwork and we mean it. But anyone claiming a filter is bulletproof is not telling the truth. Supervise younger children.

8. Rewards, characters and EMOTEES intellectual property

XP, streaks and collectable characters are a game layer with no monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred, exchanged for money, or claimed as a debt. We may adjust the mechanics at any time.
The collectable characters are EMOTEES characters, used under licence. All rights in those characters, their names, designs and associated artwork remain with their owner. You may print and use earned cards for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not sell them, use them commercially, or create merchandise from them.
Losing a streak never removes a character you have already earned.

9. Discount coupons and third-party offers (not yet active)

We intend to introduce, in future, optional discount offers — local and regional — that may be surfaced by area and unlocked through study. No such offers are active at the date of this document. When they are:

Any purchase is a contract between you and that merchant, not with us. We are not the seller.
We do not warrant the quality, safety, availability, price or legality of anything offered by a third party.
Refunds, delivery, complaints and consumer-law rights are matters for that merchant.
We may receive affiliate commission if a purchase is made. This is disclosed in the app.
Any location used to find nearby offers is used only when you ask, on your device, and is not stored by us.
For users under 18, purchases require a parent or guardian's decision.

9A. Advertising

There is no advertising in the Service today. If advertising is introduced to StudyVise Free in future:

it will be clearly labelled and kept separate from learning content;
the Privacy Policy will be updated before it appears, naming the provider and what that provider processes;
we will still not sell personal data about a child, and an advertisement will never mean a child’s conversations, notes or study history are shared with an advertiser;
where an advertising or affiliate provider is used, that provider’s own disclosures govern what it processes.

The basic learning experience is designed to remain usable without any purchase. If paid features, subscriptions or products are introduced later, they will be clearly identified before purchase, and for users under 18 a purchase remains the decision of a parent or guardian.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to: break any law; harass, defame or endanger anyone; attempt to extract or circumvent safety instructions; probe, scrape or attack the Service or any connected provider; upload material you have no right to upload; or upload images of other people without their consent.

11. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, including features described as "coming soon", which are statements of intention and not commitments.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, and for loss of data, marks, opportunity, revenue or goodwill.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid us, which for the free Service is nil, and (b) INR 1,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

13. Your data lives on your device

Everything you create — notes, chats, progress, keys — is stored in your own browser. We hold no copy and therefore cannot restore it. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, changing device or pressing "Erase everything" will delete it permanently. Export regularly if it matters to you.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Patna, Bihar shall have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting minors or data handling will be surfaced in the app.
