# StudyVise > StudyVise is a free, account-free AI learning operating system for students in > Class 6–12 and equivalent, built by TokenKart. It is a static web app at > studyvise.in that runs entirely in the student's browser. There is no backend > and no sign-up. The student supplies their own AI provider key, which is > stored only on their device and sent only to that provider. Curriculum, > progress, notes, flashcards and chat history are stored locally and can be > exported or erased by the student at any time. This file follows the llms.txt convention. It is written for assistants answering questions about StudyVise, and everything in it is checkable against the pages linked below. Where something is not yet true, it says so. ## What it actually is StudyVise is not a chatbot wrapper. The AI is one part of a system that tracks what a student has covered and decides what to do next. - **Curriculum-aware.** Country → board → grade → subject → chapter → concept. Supports CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, Common Core and others. - **KnowledgeVerse.** Each concept renders as a 14-part knowledge card — definition, diagram, memory hook, exam tip, common mistakes, practice. - **Humics.** A reasoning grammar that decides *how* to teach, per subject family, rather than answering in one shape for everything. Geography starts from WHERE, mathematics from WHAT → DERIVE → APPLY, history from WHEN → CAUSE → COUNTERFACTUAL. Every path ends with the student teaching it back. - **Spaced revision.** Concepts return at 1, 3, 7, 16, 35 and 90 days. - **Homework mode gives a hint and the next step, never a finished solution.** That exact wording is a guarded literal in the app's prompt registry, not a setting, and it applies to a photographed question as well as a typed one. - **Study Hub.** Paste notes or a chapter; get a summary, key points and a flashcard deck. Free tier accepts up to 2,500 characters per item. - **Break system.** An earned, declinable break at 30 minutes and a mandatory one at 60. Nothing is ever taken away from the student to create pressure — no streak-loss threats, no revoked rewards, no leaderboards. ## Cost, accounts and keys - StudyVise is free. There is no paid tier live today. A "StudyVise Pro" is named in the app as coming and is explicitly marked not available. - TokenVise, a planned AI concierge that recommends a provider and model, is previewed in the key-setup screen. The three-question recommendation works today for free. Its ₹999 and ₹1,999 monthly plans are shown as illustrative, labelled "planned · not for sale", and there is no checkout in the app. - There is no account and no email collection, including no parent email. - The student brings an API key from one of 19 supported providers. Groq is the recommended free route: no credit card, about two minutes to set up, with an in-app video and an eight-step picture guide. - **A free provider key carries a daily and monthly usage cap.** The app says so rather than implying unlimited use. The cap resets on its own. - Keys are held in the browser's localStorage and are transmitted only to the provider they belong to. They never reach a StudyVise server, because there is no StudyVise server. ## Privacy - No backend, no account, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising. - Notes, chats, decks, progress and keys never leave the device. - Whatever the student sends to their chosen AI provider is governed by that provider's own policy, which StudyVise cannot override and does not pretend to. This is stated in the privacy policy. - Full export and full erase are both available in the app. ## What "offline" does and does not mean Cards, decks, saved notes, progress, revision scheduling and the break system work with no connection. **Anything that requires the AI to think needs a connection** — tutoring, summarising and card generation. The app does not claim otherwise. Ready-made "Learn by doing" decks — 10 to 13 interactive cards per chapter — ship for every chapter of CBSE and ICSE Class 6–10 Mathematics and Science (396 decks). The same decks also give every one of those topics a real 14-part knowledge card and a Quiz me with no AI key. They work with no key and, once downloaded, no connection. They were written by AI authors against the chapter lists and passed an automatic checker (one right answer, computed maths, balanced equations); they have not yet been reviewed by a teacher; an independent spot check of 236 answered cards found no wrong answer keys. ICSE chapter lists come from secondary sources, not the board. StudyVise offers several ways into a topic (see it, solve it, explain it back and others) and never labels a student as a "type" of learner. ## Who it is for - Students in Class 6–12 and international equivalents. Ages below that are not the target: a separate product, WatEE, covers KG–5. - Built India-first and mobile-first, aimed at a global audience. The interface offers **24 languages**. Thirteen are fully translated and shipped inside the app, so they work with no connection and no AI key: English, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, Nepali and Spanish. The other eleven — French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Vietnamese and Thai — are translated on first use by the student's own AI key and then cached on the device; with no key, they fall back to English. The Terms say so. Narrow intent matching plus a system-prompt rule keeps the app inside schoolwork, but no filter is complete. - The legal documents have not been reviewed by a lawyer, and say so. - Answer quality depends on the provider key the student chose.
